The Project :

Mundipharma had embarked on a large scale global business transformation with a view to setting themselves up for growth in the digital economy. This involved standardising across global business units, consolidating 36 legacy ECC systems, adopting best practices and centralising key activities, all facilitated by the deployment of SAP S/4HANA.

Problem

The engagement with Mundipharma started with a review and audit of progress to date - as the executive team were concerned on progress. The Limelight team swifty responded, provided actionable insights and direction and then were asked to lead the Mundipharma team through several of its build and deployment milestones.

With an entirely offshore systems integrator and starting 8-months behind the rest of the programme, this was not going to be a simple transformation programme. 12 months later, the global template was complete, and the first wave deployed, creating the bedrock from which Mundipharma now operate.

Further wave releases, notably into highly complex and regulated environments (like China and Brazil), shifted the entire Globe onto a common operating model, enabling the company to take advantage of Global economies of scales and a singular target operating model.

This first success wouldn’t have been possible without the competence, team spirit and engagement of the Limelight team.

Solutions

  • The Limelight team managed key workstreams and activities, including several third parties and an entirely offshore system integrator. Running predominantly remotely, the team delivered a global template and several deployment waves around the Globe including all localizations as required (including China, Brazil, USA, Europe, and Middle East)
  • From a technology angle, the business transformation was centred around S/4HANA, EWM, B/4HANA, BPC and Ariba.

Informa | Publishing

Informa engaged Limelight to work alongside PWC to ensure the integration and deployment aspects of their business transformation programme were being considered and that the programme was successful from a legacy integration aspect.

Running alongside the main programme was a smaller SAP migration project - a dependancy project that needed to be delivered on time as not to frustrate the bigger global transformation.
