Limelight Beams

Find out where your SAP programme really is.

RunHealthy Assessment™ is Limelight's independent programme audit — a structured, evidence-based review that tells you exactly what is working, what isn't, and what needs to change. Completed in four to six weeks. No ongoing commitment required.

What is the RunHealthy Assessment™ accelerator?

Most programmes have a gap between how they are reported and how they are actually progressing. Status reports show green. Confidence is amber. The board is asking questions that nobody can answer cleanly.

RunHealthy Assessment closes that gap. Our independent, 128-point programme audit gives you an honest picture of where things stand — across governance, delivery, change, data, SI performance, and financial position. Not commentary. Specific findings and prioritised actions your leadership team can act on immediately.

Why organisations come to us.

Programmes come to us when:

  • Status is green but confidence is low
  • The SI's narrative and the business team's experience are diverging
  • Risks are known but no one owns the mitigations
  • Budget forecasts keep moving without clear explanation
  • Go-live is approaching and readiness feels uncertain

RunHealthy™ gives you:

  • An honest, independent view of where the programme actually stands
  • Prioritised findings — not a list of observations
  • Specific actions your leadership team can act on immediately
  • Clarity on whether the programme needs intervention — and what kind
  • A fixed-scope engagement with no ongoing commitment required

  • Both retrospective health-check and horizon scanning 'watch points'
  • Independent of your SI — able to assess any implementation methodology

Questions we get asked.
How do I know if my SAP programme is actually in trouble versus just going through normal turbulence?

Every programme encounters difficulty. The question is whether the difficulty is being managed or masked. Warning signs that go beyond normal turbulence include: status consistently optimistic but confidence declining; risks known but with no active mitigation owner; decisions repeatedly deferred at governance; the SI's narrative and business teams' experience diverging; and budget forecasts that keep moving.

If two or more of these apply to your programme, an independent assessment is the most efficient route to a factual picture and a clear path forward — not a sign of failure.

  • Status reporting optimistic but confidence is low
  • Risks identified but not actively managed
  • Decisions being deferred repeatedly
  • SI narrative and business team experience diverging significantly
  • Budget forecasts moving without clear explanation
Can we commission a RunHealthy Assessment without committing to a full Limelight engagement?

Yes. RunHealthy Assessment is a standalone, fixed-scope engagement. It does not require any ongoing commitment and does not commit you to further Limelight involvement. The output is an independent assessment and a set of prioritised recommendations — what you do with those recommendations is entirely your decision.

Many organisations commission a RunHealthy Assessment precisely because they want an independent view before deciding whether to bring in external support. The findings may confirm that internal teams can address the issues with targeted guidance — or they may indicate that more active governance would add value. Either way, there is no commercial pressure embedded in the delivery.
What does an independent SAP programme audit cover and how long does it take?

A RunHealthy Assessment covers: programme governance and control effectiveness; delivery progress against plan; risk and issue management; SI performance; business change and stakeholder readiness; data and technical health; and financial position. It is delivered in four to six weeks and produces prioritised recommendations — not a list of observations.

The goal is not a report that sits on a shelf. It is a clear picture of where the programme stands and a prioritised set of actions leadership can act on immediately.
Our programme is showing green status but confidence is low — what should we do?

'Governance green, confidence amber' is one of the most common and dangerous positions in large programmes. It typically means reporting is working in the SI's favour — surfacing managed information rather than operational reality. The first step is commissioning an independent view of where the programme actually stands.

This does not require stopping or restructuring anything. It requires an experienced external perspective that can distinguish between genuine progress and reported progress. RunHealthy findings typically result in a specific set of governance and SI management changes — not a fundamental reset.
Can Limelight step in mid-programme or only at the start?

Limelight works across the full programme lifecycle. While RunFast Launchpad is designed for programme start, RunHealthy Assessment is specifically designed for programmes already in motion. We can engage at any stage and provide the independent assessment, governance support, or turnaround leadership the situation requires.

The cost and complexity of intervention increases the later it happens, which is why we recommend not waiting until a crisis forces the conversation. Early intervention is both cheaper and more effective than recovery.
What happens after a RunHealthy Assessment — what are the possible outcomes?

A RunHealthy Assessment produces a prioritised set of findings and recommendations. Typical paths forward are: the internal team implements recommendations with Limelight providing periodic assurance; Limelight supports governance and SI management through a critical phase; or, where significant structural issues are identified, Limelight takes a more active programme leadership role.

We present the options clearly and give an honest recommendation — including cases where the right answer is to continue with a different set of controls rather than bringing in additional external resource.
What is the first step to working with Limelight?

The first step is a structured consultation — typically sixty to ninety minutes — in which we understand your programme's current position, objectives, and the specific challenge you are trying to solve. We will be direct about whether and how Limelight can help. There is no commitment required and no proposal pushed before that conversation.

Most engagements begin with RunFast Launchpad for organisations at the start of their journey, or a RunHealthy Assessment for programmes already running. We will tell you clearly which starting point fits your situation — including if neither is right for you.
