Where are you on your SAP journey?
Limelight supports organisations at three critical stages, using proven accelerators designed to deliver momentum and control.
Starting your programme
  • I don't have a board-ready business case yet
  • I haven't defined scope before going to market for an SI
  • I don't know how to structure the programme for success
  • I need to select the right SI with confidence

Programme is underway
  • The programme is moving but not landing value
  • Status is green but confidence is amber
  • Risks are known but nobody owns the mitigations
  • The SI is driving decisions that should be made by the business
Programme has gone live
  • Go-live has happened but value hasn't materialised
  • Teams are working the old way despite a new system
  • Capability hasn't stuck
  • Where are my benefits?

Why Limelight exists

A critical piece of the jigsaw.

Every SAP programme needs two things to succeed. Firstly, a delivery partner who builds and configures the technology. Secondly, an independent client-side team who governs the programme, manages the parties, drives business change, and ensures the investment delivers what the board approved.

Most organisations have the first. Limelight provides the second. We coined the term 'SAP Business Integrator' to describe it and we've been delivering against it ever since.

Which SAP path are you on?

Limelight works across both major SAP transformation routes — and across every client-side discipline regardless of choice.

RISE with SAP - For large enterprise organisations migrating from on-premise ECC to a private cloud (SAP or otherwise) . Complex, multi-year, high-stakes — and where independent client-side governance makes the biggest difference.

GROW with SAP - For mid-market organisations adopting S/4HANA on a standardised public cloud model. Faster and more structured — but the business change, data, and adoption challenges are equally as critical.

Whichever path you're on, Limelight's role is the same. Independent. Client-side. Accountable to you.

Questions we get asked.
What is a Business Integrator and how is it different from a Systems Integrator?

A Business Integrator is a client-side partner who sits on your side during an SAP transformation. A Systems Integrator is contracted to deliver software — their incentives align to implementation, not your outcomes. A Business Integrator governs the programme in your interests: protecting scope, managing the SI, and ensuring transformation delivers measurable business value.

Limelight coined the term 'Business Integrator' in the UK because no existing role captured this: client-side programme leadership that holds the SI to account. Most organisations assume their SI will look after their interests. The commercial reality is quite different.
What does 'client-side SAP consultancy' actually mean?

Client-side means we represent you — not the technology vendor or the SI. We sit in your programme, govern your SI relationship, challenge decisions not in your interest, and provide independent assurance. We do not directly implement SAP. We ensure your SAP implementation delivers what your business actually needs.

Most SAP consultancies are engaged by the business but work in the interests of implementation. This creates a structural conflict. Limelight's model removes that conflict entirely — our only commercial interest is your outcome.
Why do so many SAP transformation programmes fail?

SAP programmes most commonly fail for structural, not technical, reasons: a weak business case, unclear scope at the outset, an ungoverned SI relationship, and change management treated as a last-mile activity. Most organisations begin without defining what success looks like in measurable terms — and no amount of technical delivery closes that gap.

The answer is not a better SI. It is stronger client-side leadership and governance from day one.

  • Weak or unfunded business case
  • Scope not defined before SI engagement
  • No independent governance or SI oversight
  • Change management starting too late
  • Leadership relying on SI reporting rather than independent data
Do I need a Business Integrator if I already have an SI contracted?

Especially then. Once an SI is contracted, the commercial dynamic shifts in their favour — scope changes, rate escalations, and extended timelines become harder to challenge without independent expertise on your side. A Business Integrator is most valuable before SI engagement, but can restore governance and protect scope at any programme stage.

The earlier a Business Integrator is engaged, the greater the value. Limelight recommends engagement before SI selection — so you enter that conversation with a complete business case, defined scope, and independent leverage.
