Forseven — a luxury automotive manufacturer under significant investor scrutiny — was twelve weeks from S/4HANA go-live when the data migration workstream was identified as a material risk to the programme. Production parts ordering was dependent on a clean cutover. The deadline was immovable.
The legacy data estate was complex, design misalignments with the prime SI were still being worked through live, and the existing solution architect was carrying the data workstream single-handedly — a position that was not sustainable through go-live.
